We are pleased to announce another major operational milestone for SABER-1 Floating Dry Dock cum Heavy Lift Barge.

Following the successful jack-up barge operation in Ras Al Khaimah and the 9,000-ton load-out and float-off at Khalifa Port, SABER-1 has successfully completed its third significant operation - the docking of our very own floating dock SABER-2.

This complex operation marked the first-ever transverse docking performed on SABER-1, requiring the safe accommodation of SABER-2, with an air draft of 30 metres. The achievement was made possible through detailed engineering, precise ballast control, and exceptional execution by the operations team.

SABER-1 continues to demonstrate its unique capabilities:

  • Longitudinal lifting capacity: 16,500 tons
  • Transverse lifting capacity: 11,500 tons
  • Transverse docking width: 47 metres

These capabilities make SABER-1 the only floating dry dock in the UAE capable of accommodating jack-up barges in a transverse docking configuration with a width of up to 47 metres and a lifting capacity of up to 11,500 tons.

This milestone reflects the dedication, technical expertise, and teamwork of all departments involved. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the successful planning and execution of this remarkable operation.
