Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a leading AbuDhabi shipyard and offshore fabrication yard in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been awarded a major scope under the Upper Zakum 1.0 MMBD Phase 1 offshore oil& gas development project in Abu Dhabi.
Our scope of work encompasses the full project lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication,Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Testing, Load-out, Start-UpReadiness, Start-Up Assistance, and Performance Testing for UAE offshore oil & gas EPC and modularization projects.
We are pleased to announce ASMEF's pivotal involvement in the TARGET Project, which aims to deliver essential surface facilities for the Upper Zakum offshore field development, one of the largest oil fields in the UAE andMiddle East energy sector.
This initiative is crucial for sustaining oil production through to the end of 2029, with the system designed to support future expansion well beyond this timeframe, strengthening Ali & Sons’ position as a leading modularization yard and EPC contractor in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and marking a significant milestone in our offshore EPC transformation and energy infrastructure expansion journey.

This covers the following key work packages across Al Ghallan Island (AGI) and Ettouk Island (ETI) within the Abu Dhabi offshore oil &gas development zone:
• Produced Water Treatment Units (AGI &ETI) for UAE upstreamoil & gas processing infrastructure
• Water Injection Facility supporting enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations in AbuDhabi offshore fields
• Preassembled Manifolds (3 units) for offshore oil & gas production systems inthe UAE
• Local Equipment Room for offshore modular EPC installations in theMiddle East energy sector
• Module Technical Room supporting Abu Dhabi offshore surface facilities and energy infrastructure projects
